Buckley Webcast: The CFPB: Investigations and Enforcement Trends
Since opening its doors in July 2011, the CFPB has initiated investigations of numerous financial institutions and recently entered into a number of Consent Orders. On their face, the rules used by the CFPB appear to be similar to those used by other federal enforcement agencies, but the CFPB's execution can be different. We discussed the CFPB's investigation procedures as well as themes present in recent Consent Orders.
