Buckley Sandler Webcast: The CFPB - A Recap of Activities to Date and Predictions for Actions Ahead

In this webcast, we reviewed the CFPB's recent activities and provided guidance for institutions that are regulated by the CFPB. The webcast included discussion of issues related to the protection of confidential data provided by institutions in examination, enforcement, and other contexts as well as bills currently pending in Congress to provide greater assurances to the industry that privileged information will not be further disclosed by the CFPB. We concluded by predicting what lies ahead for the CFPB, including its approach to enforcement actions and the use of its full powers under Director Cordray.
