In the aftermath of the Fall 2017 hurricanes and wildfires, mortgage servicers are continuing to assist impacted borrowers. This program highlighted key learnings from 2017, including tips for time-sensitive triaging to assist borrowers in disaster-affected areas while also meeting compliance obligations. Forbearance and loss mitigation challenges, customer service issues (including fee assessments), evolving regulator and investor expectations, and the future of flood insurance and flood risk management was also covered.
