Panya Monford is a Regulatory Attorney in the Washington, D.C., office of Buckley Sandler LLP. Ms. Monford assists clients in the financial services industry, primarily in litigation, regulatory, and compliance matters. Ms. Monford performs research, provides litigation support, and assists with complex litigation, enforcement, and regulatory matters. She has worked on government investigations and enforcement actions, including, but not limited to, matters involving fair lending, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and banking agency examinations and investigations, and foreclosure-related proceedings.
Ms. Monford is very engaged in pro bono and community service projects. She has been an advocate for children within the District of Columbia Public School system, litigating numerous administrative hearings, and she has been a member of Board of Directors of the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children since 2005.
Ms. Monford received her J.D. from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 2003 and her B.A. from University of Virginia in 1998.
